What is Google Play?

Google Play is a digital content e-store on your smartphone, tablet or TV that offers Android apps and games, movies, music, and books – a wide range of free and paid content!

What does the LMT offer?

It is possible to pay for your purchases in Google Play via the LMT by including the respective amount in your invoice for our services or by charging them to your LMT Karte.

What devices support the LMT payment option for Google Play?

The LMT payment option can be activated in smartphones and tablets by means of the Android OS (version 2.2 or later) and SIM. You also have to have the latest version of Google Play app for mobile devices installed in your device. After the activation you will also be able to use it in Android TV devices. This option is not available in computers.

How to activate the LMT payment option for Google Play?

You can activate the LMT payment option via the Google Play for mobile devices in an Android phone or tablet with an LMT SIM card. First activation should be performed in the LMT mobile network (not Wi-Fi).

1. Open the Account section in Google Play.

2. Open Payment types and choose Use LMT payment.

3. If required, enter your contact details that will be saved in your Google account.

4. Read and agree to Google and LMT terms and conditions.

5. LMT payment is added to your Google account. When you buy apps, games, movies, etc. choose Charge my LMT account.

How can I active the LMT payment, if I am not offered this option when I open the Google Play?

If you have an LMT connection or LMT Karte, but the Google Play does not offer to activate the LMT payment option, please check the following.

  • Mobile data (not Wi-Fi) are enabled. First activation should be performed in the LMT mobile network (not Wi-Fi).

  • Android OS 2.2 or later version is installed in the device where you would like to use the LMT payment option.

  • The latest version of the Google Play app is installed in your device. You can check it in the Settings section of the Google Play app by clicking on the Play store version. If you receive a notification that an update is available, please install it.

If you use a Dual SIM device, the respective LMT SIM card should be installed in the first slot.

How can I use the LMT payment option in my Home Smart TV?

If you use an LMT connection in an Android phone or tablet and you have access to premium-rate purchases, it is possible to activate the LMT payment option in the Google account that you use for the Home Smart TV.

When this option is activated, you will be able to use it for purchases in the Google Play e-store of your Home Smart TV. Please note that these purchases will be listed under the connection with an active LMT payment option (and not under the contract number of your Home Smart TV).

If your connection costs are payed by your employer, please check the Private payment option.

If you use an LMT connection in a device with a different OS and no SIM support is available, please link your Google account with a payment card to be able to pay via the Home Smart TV.

How can I make purchases in Google Play and use the LMT payment?

1. Choose an app, a game or something else.

2. Click on the price and confirm that you would like to pay with the LMT payment.

3. The amount of your purchase will be included in your next LMT invoice or charged to your LMT Karte.

4. In addition, an e-mail with information about the purchased content and developer’s details will be sent to the e-mail address of your Google account for you to be able to contact the developer, if needed.

What should I do if I have activated the LMT payment, but cannot use it to purchase anything?

If you have activated the LMT payment option in Google Play, but it is not possible to make a purchase, please consider the following.

Premium-rate services have been disabled for your connection number. If you would like to make purchases and pay with the LMT payment option, the blocking has to be disabled. It can be done via My LMT or at any LMT Customer Service Center.

The purchase price exceeds 30.00 € (this is the maximum amount that can be charged to your LMT Karte or included in your LMT invoice per purchase). If the price of the selected content exceeds this amount, you will have to choose a different payment type.

Credit limit is exceeded. Usually, it will be possible to make a new purchase within 24 hours.

Maximum monthly limit for Google Play purchases has been reached (70.00 €). If you would like to buy more, choose “Cancel monthly limit for premium-rate services”. It can be done via My LMT or at any LMT Customer Service Center.

No services can be provided to your connection. To find out more, contact the LMT by calling 8076 8076.

Insufficient funds in LMT Karte or the advance has expired. Refill your LMT Karte or extend the expiry date of the current balance.

How can I deactivate and disable the LMT payment option in Google Play?

If you would like to disable the LMT payment option in Google Play, you can sign up to a free service Cancellation of premium-rate services. Please note that all premium-rate services will be blocked in this case. If you would like, you may authorize the use of specif numbers (e.g., directories and other services) that are important to you and that you would like to continue using. Cancellation of premium-rate services can be activated via My LMT, as well as at an LMT Customer Service Center.

What should I do if I do not wish to use the LMT payment in Google Play any more?

If you have activated the LMT payment option in Google Play, but would not like to continue using it, it is possible to disable this option in the Payment type section of the Google payment center by logging in with a Google account with an activated LMT payment option.

How can I cancel a service that is subject to a regular charge?

If you have subscribed to a service in Google Play subject to a monthly subscription fee, the service may be canceled in the Account section of the Google Play app for mobile devices.  Select Subscriptions, open the respective service and cancel the subscription. The service will not be deactivated immediately, and you will be able to use it until the expiry of the subscription period. More information is available here.

What should I do if I purchased a new phone and cannot use the LMT payment option in Google Play any more?

If you purchased a new phone or a tablet, and would like to use the LMT payment option in Google Play, it has to be re-activated. You can do that in the Account section of the Google Play app by selecting Payment types and completing all steps to activate the LMT payment option.

If you do not intend to use the LMT payment option in your previous device, we recommend to delete the unnecessary payment methods in the Payment types section of the Google payment center.

What should I do if I changed the SIM card of my connection and cannot use the LMT payment option any more?

If you have changed the SIM card of a current LMT connection or an LMT Karte number and would like to continue using the LMT payment option at Google Play, it will have to be re-activated. You can do that in the Account section of the Google Play app for mobile devices by selecting Payment types and completing all steps to activate the LMT payment option.

How will the purchases that I made in Google Play be listed in my invoice?

All Google Play purchases paid by means of the LMT payment option will be listed in your LMT invoice as Payments in Google Play store.

How can I receive detailed information about my purchases in Google Play?

1. By e-mail
Information about all completed purchases will be sent to the e-mail address of your Google account. You will be informed about the purchased content, price, taxes and contact details of the respective developer for you to contact them, if needed.

2. Via Google app
Purchase history is available in the Account section of the Google Play app for mobile devices when you open the Order history.

3. At the Google payment center
Open the Google payment center and log in with the same Google account that you used to make purchases. Choose Subscriptions and services, click on the respective purchase and receive information about the purchased content, purchase price and taxes, as well as the developer.

What should I do if I am not satisfied with the quality of the purchased app?

LMT offers only a payment option and cannot be held responsible for the quality and functioning of the purchased app or content. If you are not satisfied with the quality of the purchased content or if it does not function properly, please contact the respective developer. Information how to do it is available here.

What should I do if I am charged for purchases that I did not make?

If you do not recognize the purchase, make sure that no member of your family has made it, as it is possible that your child has played an online game that was charged to your account.

If you find out that the payment was not authorized or was made accidentally, contact Google for help by filling in a contact form. Before you do that, please make sure that you have logged in the system with the Google account that is associated with the purchase.

To avoid unauthorized or accidental purchases, please install a mandatory authentication request before each purchase. It can be done in the Settings section of the Google Play mobile app by selecting Require authentication for purchases. More information is available here.

You can also lock the device by setting a PIN code or a password.

What should I do if I would like to receive a refund for my purchase in Google Play?

Purchases can be returned to Google Play according to Google terms and conditions depending on the type of the purchased content.

Usually, purchases of paid games and apps can be canceled within 2 hours since the time of their payment by opening the respective purchase in the Google Play app for mobile devices and selecting Refund. This does not apply to in-app purchases.

It is possible to ask for cancellation within 48 hours by completing a request form. Before you do that, please make sure that you have logged in the system with the Google account that is associated with the purchase.

If more than 48h have passed, the request should be submitted to the developer of the respective content. Information how to do it is available here.
