LMT Group selected to join Europe's future networks advisory group alongside Airbus Defence and Space and Ericsson

LMT Group has been appointed as one of 16 organizations to join the Stakeholders Group of the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU). Notably, LMT Group, France’s Orange, and Greece’s OTE are the only three telecommunications operators chosen for this influential European advisory body.
The SNS JU Stakeholders Group serves as an official advisory council that provides strategic input on the European Union’s digital connectivity priorities. Members will contribute directly to shaping the SNS JU Annual Work Programs, the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA), and the research framework for the upcoming EU budget cycle (2028–2034), defining Europe's next-generation 6G digital infrastructure, resilience, and technological autonomy.
LMT Group joins an elite group of European technology giants, defence players, and standardization bodies, including Airbus Defence and Space, Capgemini, Ericsson, Nokia, and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). LMT Group will be represented in this international group by Iveta Cīrule, Head of International Projects, and Jānis Grēviņš, Research Development Lead.
Inclusion in this key advisory body is no coincidence, but rather the result of LMT Group's long-term commitment and active contributions to European R&D and 6G development. LMT Group has consistently proven its technical expertise through participation in leading EU-funded research projects.

Key SNS JU and 6G initiatives driven by LMT Group include Shield 6G – a project focused on developing robust security, cyber-defense, and resilience mechanisms for next-generation 6G mobile networks – and IoT Zero, a research initiative aimed at zero-energy or ultra-low-power IoT devices and network architectures, paving the way for sustainable digital infrastructure. LMT Group's leading role in these advanced initiatives underscores its capacity to influence future European critical infrastructure and standardization, putting Latvia firmly on the map as a key contributor to Europe’s digital future.
